The location is excellent, right on the beach with fine sea view rooms. The hotel was well-prepared, with beach chairs ready in our room. The rooms werevery comfy and tidy, maintaining a historic charm, albeit slightly dated. The parking was convenient, and the staff was helpful throughout our stay.
Some amenities felt outdated.

perfect location, beautifull building
the room was given free at 16:00 due to late cleaning. However, when entering the room it was obvious there had been no cleaning at all. A pile of dead insects in the bathroom & even worse; between the sheets. The dust on the glass layer was thick enough to write in it. After complaining we were offered a discount of 50% on the room rate ( 105 euro in stead of 210 euro /night) but even at halfprice a 4* hotel can never deliver a room in that state.

Really enjoyed to be here, the hotel was clean and magical, the location was stunning very close to the sea. Had a nice experience staying at the classic twin room. And it was tidy with the nice decor.

The sea view was absolutely breathtaking! The spacious room and great location were bonuses, but the outdated bathrooms were a letdown. A wonderful stay overall, but a bit pricey for what it offers. 🌊

Location
Room smelled extremely mouldy. The smell hit you as soon as you entered the room. After the stay all clothes and bags smelled mouldy and had to be washed. (Even a backpack is still smelling after days in the open). Lots of noise - neighbours woke you up at night just by talking. Room very warm despite closed radiators due to pipes going through the room. No safe or coffee/the facilities.

Great for solo travelers
The location was fantastic, just steps away from the beach! And even though my room was a bit outdated, the view from the window was just what I needed to relax after a long day. Plus, waking up to the sound of the waves was like a dream.

Great building although getting old. Located in front of the beach. An old time feeling, lot of charm. Great sauna. Some rooms have terraces with a sea view, very nice !
Clearly overpriced for the top suite/room. Do not eat at the 'bistrot' !! bad food quality, poor service and expensive.

Everything was lovely, had an exceptional stay for this first weekend in Ostend. The room was nicely furnished and renovated bath bathroom can be better. The bed was comfortable and the balcony had worth every penny views to a sea view.
The hotel staff was kind of rude.

Direct Access to the Beach, Lovely Sea Views, Historic Brasserie Albert
The outdated bathrooms, limited amenities like a working air conditioning and an understaffed night team really hinder the experience!!! Cleanliness standards need to be improved as well!!!

Charming and cozy room (third floor, seaview and balcony) Multi cultural and mutilingual staff at the reception, efficient and helpful Very nice view Efforts made to improve the decoration and renovate step by step the hotel: continue please!
Main Service Officer in the restaurant unfriendly and totally under stress and overcrowded: he should be trained how to deal with customers under time and pressure constraints. His behavior towards us was absolutely unacceptable in 2016. What a pity...
